Worth Building with Scrum

The artifacts

Everything the team in the book produces, indexed by chapter. The facilitation tools are written to be used on your own project — the prompts, the questions, the sessions. All of it free, no account, no sign-up.

Read & reuse Artifact pages

The technique behind an artifact, written out in full, with prompts and frames you can copy. This is where reuse happens.

  14. Ch 15 Sprint 1 RetrospectiveRead & reuseFour candidates, one action — and a record of what was deliberately not chosen
  15. Ch 16 Sprint 2 ReviewDevelopment JourneyEvery criterion met, no business driver moved — and the person who wasn't in the room

Part Two — Navigating the Storm

  1. Ch 18 Backlog under pressureDiscovery boardA CEO-endorsed idea, captured and ordered below routine work — note where it sits
  2. Ch 20 Definition of Done, under pressureRead & reuseThe same card — see its revision history for what changed and why

The two boards

The Discovery & Refinement board is a pipeline: drivers on the left, Ready-for-Sprint on the right, and everything in between in the order it was produced.

The Development Journey board is an archive. Sprint 1 and Sprint 2 sit side by side so you can see a Sprint mid-flight and a later one finished at the same time. Your own board won't look like that — yours will move forward, one Sprint at a time. This one is arranged to be read rather than worked.

The Beauty Spot project is fictional. The artifacts are not. All of it comes from Worth Building with Scrum: From Why to Done — the chain from a business driver to a line of finished code, worked through one team's four Sprints. About the book · read chapter 1 free.
